According to the THE PUNJAB INFORMATION OF TEMPORARY RESIDENTS ACT 2015, whenever a house or a hostel room is rented, owner/tenant/property dealer have to register details (owner, property, tenant info.) in concerned police station for record purpose. Registration can be done by visiting concerned Police Station or nearby Police Khidmat Markaz. After successful registration, front desk officer will provide a certificate to the citizen which will help him/her to avoid any hassle during any search operation.
