The Capital City Police Lahore is the metropolitan police organization of the Punjab province of Pakistan. The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore supervises the overall functions of Capital City Police, Lahore. The primary functions are prevention and detection of crime & maintenance of law & order. In the new security paradigm shift, the security of public places, events, ceremonies and important personalities (VVIPs) has also taken priority. With three principle staff officers i.e. DIG Administration, SSP Internal Accountability Branch and SP Legal, CCPO is the principle accounting officer for Lahore Police. CCPO operates through four major wings three headed by an officer of the rank of DIG and one headed by an SSP. They are DIG Operations, DIG Investigation, DIG Security and Chief Traffic Officer. An important aspect of CCPO’s job is to supervise the personnel and resource management of Lahore Police.
